Parking Permit Costs

We're waiting for Hayley Burrows to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Thurrock Borough Council,

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to enquire the following information relating to parking permits:

1. What is the average cost of an annual local resident parking permit within your council?

2. How many local resident parking permits did you issue within the following timeframe: 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017

3. Please provide the cost of an annual local resident parking permit over the last five years, including how the price has changed each year

4. How much revenue did the council receive through local resident parking permit over the past calendar year – 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017

5. Does the cost of an annual parking permit differ depending on what street/area the permit is for? If it does differ, please provide the price range and the reasons for the variation in price.

Thank you for your recent communication which is being managed in line
with the Freedom of Information Act under the above reference number.  The
details of your request are outlined below together with the council’s
response.

Your request & our response

1.    What is the average cost of an annual local resident parking permit
within your council? Nil for the first two in the household and £66 for
the third permit.

2.    How many local resident parking permits did you issue within the
following timeframe: 1st January 2017 – 31st December 2017 1,571 permits
have been issued during this period

3.    Please provide the cost of an annual local resident parking permit
over the last five years, including how the price has changed each year

First two permits are free per household with the third permit being £66.
This is for 17/18,16/17,15/16,and 14/15 and for 13/14 each permit was £22
each.

4.    How much revenue did the council receive through local resident
parking permit over the past calendar year – 1st January 2017 – 31st
December 2017 £2,904

5.    Does the cost of an annual parking permit differ depending on what
street/area the permit is for? If it does differ, please provide the price
range and the reasons for the variation in price. The price remains the
same borough wide.
