1) Accident statistics on Welbeck Street, Brierfield Close and Bingley Street.

2) Number of PCNs issued in the last 12 months in those areas for illegal parking.

3) Copies of any documentation relating to the decision to implement a TRO in these areas, limiting parking and the anticipated beneficial effects.

5) Any and all information relating to impact assessments of the proposed TRO on traffic (accidents and congestion) on Summer Lane

6) Consultation documents with local residents

7) Communication with Barnsley Hospital in relation to the use of local streets in the area being used for staff parking, and any measures which have been considered to alleviate this issue.

Dear Information Requests,

The response on this issue from BMBC has been poor. The original reply - stating that you were refusing the request as it was outwith the 18 hour limit when all of this information should have been readily available as part of the planning application process - was ludicrous and only signifies a willingness and intent to hide from proper scrutiny of the plans by those affected.

I am grateful to the complaints team who have kept me informed of the progress throughout, however as of this note (25th Feb 2020) this FoI request has taken over 5 months and I still do not have any answers whatsoever and the situation to which it relates has worsened.

This complaint is likely to be escalated to the Information Commissioner due to the conduct of the council in this matter.

Yours sincerely,

Ben Raynes
