Parking fines in Blackburn
Dear Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council,
Please could you tell me how many parking fines have been issued in Blackburn town centre in the last 12 months?
I would like to know the top 5 streets in the area were drivers are most likely to receive a parking fine. I would like this to include car parks in the town centre were cars have been left for too long.
How many of the parking fines issued have been appealed against?
How much has the council received from these fines?
Yours faithfully,
Sarah Fielding

Dear Sarah,
Thank you for your request for information regarding 'Penalty Charge Notices' (reference number 25268). In order to provide you with a response, please could you clarify the following?
What contravention code are you basing your request on and, if a car park is not in the top 5, should we not include this in our response?
The current contravention codes that fit into 'were cars have been left for too long' are as follows, all the following contraventions have observation periods or restrictions on the length of stay permitted and therefore could all be considered as 'left for too long' -
