Parking exemptions
Dear East Devon District Council,
Please provide details of parking exemptions utilised by your employees in the financial year 2009/2010.
Yours faithfully,
John Smith
Mr Smith
Thank you for your email about parking exemptions.
On-street Civil Enforcement Officers have an exemption when parking on
yellow lines whilst on duty or carrying out enforcement and when they
cannot park elsewhere (in a registered EDDC vehicle).
Off-street Civil Enforcement Officers do have exemption from Car Park
charges when on duty and carrying out enforcement duties (again in a
council vehicle).
We do not formally record such instances however.
There are no exemptions when an officer is off-duty.
I hope this answers your question but please do not hesitate to contact me
if you require anything further.
If you are dissatisified with the way we have processed your request,
please fill in our online complaint form at
