INTRODUCTION
I refer to ‘Contract Parking Enforcement SLA’. Start date: 01/04/2019 and End date: 01/04/2022. Reference No. DN402086.
This is an agreement between RBC and Wychavon District Council. In the financial year 2020/21 RBC paid WDC £80,667.30
It is assumed that this agreement was renewed.

THIS REQUEST
1. In the 01/04/2019 to 01/04/2022 agreement:
(i) were there any specific details about the number of enforcement officers who were required to be on duty in the Borough every day of every week throughout the year?
(ii) were there any specific details about the start and finish times each day, for example, officers to start at 08:00 and finish at or before 18:00, and with no patrols at all during the evening or at night?

2. Please provide full details of the current agreement including:
(i) the start and finish dates
(ii) the number of enforcement officers on duty EVERY day throughout the year
(iii) their hours of work, including all the times that the officer(s) should be on duty every day throughout the year.
(iv) how much RBC has, (or will), pay WDC for this service
(v) the number of parking enforcement notices which have been issued after 18:00 for every day in 2023 until 20 June.

1.On the 'Fix My Street' website there are many examples in the Redditch area of vehicles parking on double yellow lines and no enforcement etc.
2. Illegal parking especially after 18:00 is an issue which gets raised at PACT meetings.

with shifts that fall between 8am – 8pm (Mon – Sat) and 8am – 4pm (Sun)

(iv) how much RBC has, (or will), pay WDC for this service Each year the
cost will fluctuate depending on number of staff authorised and other
costs. In 2022/23, Redditch Borough Council paid Wychavon District Council
£61,766.53

 

(v) the number of parking enforcement notices which have been issued after
18:00 for every day in 2023 until 20 June. Under 5
