Parking Charges

Mark Roberts made this Freedom of Information request to Lancashire County Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Lancashire County Council,

I would like to request the following information.

Firstly, I would like a breakdown of the pay-and-display parking charges for each individual borough/district under your control.

I would then like to know the following:

A) How much money was generated by each individual borough/district through parking (pay and display etc) fees
B) How much money was generated by each individual borough/district through parking fines.

I would like the most recent and relevant data you have please. Any information you have to hand as far back as 2005 would be appreciated but is not a necessity.

Yours faithfully,

Mark Roberts

Dear Freedom of Information,

Please excuse me if you have received this note twice; my computer has been acting strange.

I just wanted to clarify that the most important information is the break-down of the parking charges in each individual area under your control.

If you can provide me with this information this week, I will be happy to disregard the rest of my request for the data on the amount of money generated by each area.

Again, I must stress that the most important information is the break-down of parking fees (pay and display etc) in each individual area. If you can provide me with this, I will disregard the rest of the request.

Yours sincerely,

Mark Roberts

Dear Mr Roberts,

Further to your email dated 16 November 2010 we are now in a position to
respond.

I would like a breakdown of the pay-and-display parking charges for each
individual borough/district under your control

On-street pay and display charges:

Preston and Lancaster are the only districts in Lancashire who have
on-street pay and display charges. Please see below for further details.

· Preston - 40p for 30 minutes and 80p for 1 hour

· Lancaster - 50p 30 minutes and £1.00 for 1 hour

Off-street pay and display charges:

Lancashire County Council does not hold this information as off-street
parking is handled by the district councils. Contact details for each of
the district councils are attached.

As you stated in your email of 23 November 2010 that you will be happy to
disregard the remaining aspects of your request if you receive the above
information by the end of this week, we trust that the above response is
satisfactory. As such, your request has now been closed.

Yours sincerely,

Miss Katie Miller
