Dear G Harrison

TfL Ref: 3871-1920

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 13
March 2020 asking for information about any surveys and/or analysis you
have done on parking capacity, parking utilisation, and future parking
planning for your Amersham station.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act and our information access policy.

Unfortunately, from the description provided, we are unable to identify
the information you require.

To enable us to assist with your request, please provide a more detailed
description of the information you’re seeking together with a timeframe
for when you are requesting this information for, for example in the last
two years.

The Freedom of Information Act allows you to request recorded information
held by Transport for London. There are limits on the time that we are
required to spend determining whether we hold the information you are
requesting and the time spent locating, retrieving and extracting it.
Therefore you should identify the information that you want as clearly and
concisely as you can, specifying the types of document that you are
looking for. You might also consider limiting your request to a particular
period of time, geographical area or specific departments of the
organisation.

Although your request can take the form of a question, rather than a
request for specific documents, we do not have to answer your question if
it would require the creation of new information or the provision of a
judgement, explanation, advice or opinion that was not already recorded at
the time of your request.

Please note that the 20 working day deadline for responding to your
request will depend on when we receive satisfactory additional information
to help clarify your request.

If we hear nothing further from you by 6 April 2020 your response will be
treated as a new request.

In the meantime, if you have any queries or would like to discuss your
request, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely

Dear FOI,

Thank you for replying. You've asked me to clarify dates to help you narrow down your search. Please see a revised request below:

Please provide details of any surveys and/or analysis you have done on Parking capacity, parking utilisation, and future parking planning for your Amersham Railway Station during the last 5 years.

If you have not performed any surveys and/or analysis of the parking capacity, parking utilisation, or future parking planning for Amersham Railway Station please would you confirm that too. It may perhaps be useful for you to review your file on the recent development of the additional multi-story carpark before responding as this may contain some of the information, or links to the information contained in any earlier studies done prior to that development.

Yours sincerely,

G. Harrison

FOI, Transport for London

Dear Sir / Madam,

TfL Ref: FOI-0287-2021

Thank you for your request received by Transport for London (TfL) on 27^th
May 2020 asking for information about parking at Amersham railway
station.

Please note, the Government has announced a series of measures to tackle
the coronavirus. It is essential for London that we continue to provide a
safe transport network for essential journeys.

In current circumstances, we are not able to answer FOI requests readily
and we ask that you please do not make a request to us at present.

Answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the
attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. In
any event, please note that our response time will be affected by the
current situation. Please notify us as soon as possible if you would like
to withdraw your request at the current time.

Should you wish to proceed with the request we will aim to issue a
response by 24^th June 2020 in accordance with the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 and our information access policy. We publish a substantial
range of information on our website on subjects including operational
performance, contracts, expenditure, journey data, governance and our
financial performance. This includes data which is frequently asked for in
FOI requests or other public queries. Please check
[1]http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/transpar... to see if this helps you.

We will publish anonymised versions of requests and responses on the
[2]www.tfl.gov.uk website. We will not publish your name and we will send
a copy of the response to you before it is published on our website.

In the meantime, if you would like to discuss this matter further, please
do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr Harrison,

TfL Ref: FOI-0287-2021

Thank you for your email of 27^th May 2020 asking for information about
parking at Amersham Railway station.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.

You asked:

“Please provide details of any surveys and/or analysis you have done on
Parking capacity, parking utilisation, and future parking planning for
your Amersham Railway Station during the last 5 years.

If you have not performed any surveys and/or analysis of the parking
capacity, parking utilisation, or future parking planning for Amersham
Railway Station please would you confirm that too. It may perhaps be
useful for you to review your file on the recent development of the
additional multi-story carpark before responding as this may contain some
of the information, or links to the information contained in any earlier
studies done prior to that development.”

TfL does not hold the requested information as we do not own or manage the
car park at this station. So far as I can gather the car park is owned by
Buckingham Council ([1]https://chiltern.gov.uk/amershamcarpark) so you
may wish to direct your questions to that body
([2]https://www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/your-...).

On a more general matter, please note that the Government has announced a
series of measures to tackle the coronavirus. It is essential for London
that we continue to provide a safe transport network for essential
journeys.

In current circumstances, we are not able to answer FOI requests readily
and we ask that you please do not make a request to us at present.

Answering FOI requests will require the use of limited resources and the
attention of staff who could be supporting other essential activity. In
any event, please note that our response time will be affected by the
current situation.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would
like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Dear FOI,

Thank you. I know that the actual multi-story carpark isn't yours, I wanted to know whether you had done any surveys and/or analysis on Parking capacity, parking utilisation, and future parking planning for your Amersham Railway Station during the last 5 years. I mentioned the multi-story carpark because that was a recent development by the council and I wondered perhaps whether they had consulted with you on that development or whether you had performed any surveys or analysis for yourselves or for them in relation to that car park.

Could you clarify that you have or have not done any surveys and/or analysis on Parking capacity, parking utilisation, and future parking planning for your Amersham Railway Station during the last 5 years please?

Thank you

Yours sincerely,

G. Harrison

Dear Mr Harrison,

Thank you for your further email of 30^th June 2020.

I have checked with various colleagues across various teams (including
London Underground Asset Operations, City Planning, and Commercial
Development) and can find no suggestion that TfL has undertaken any
surveys or analysis in regard to parking capacity / utilisation at
Amersham Railway station. I can only conclude therefore that the requested
information is not held as no such work has been carried out.

Yours sincerely,
