Parenting Programmes

The request was partially successful.

Dear Children and Family Court Advisory Support Service,

Please give a list of all parenting programmes that Cafcass work with.

I would also like the dates in which Cafcass started working with each programme provider.

Also, please state and evidence, how exactly a family court advisor would go about finding the appropriate local one? Do you have a database or similar?

And if a family court advisor was to sit down at their computer, how long would it reasonably take for them to find the appropriate local one? Perhaps a full explanation and evidence to document as to what they would have to do to find it on your computer systems may be better?

Yours faithfully,

Jimmy

2)    Once an entry is made on a case log, can that be edited at all and
at any point, AFTER the original entry was made? If so, can it be seen
that it's been edited? And can the original entry be seen as well?

3)

a.    Please give a list of all parenting programmes that Cafcass work
with. I would also like the dates in which Cafcass started working with

4)    What right do family court advisors have to ask a party to read the
other party's position statement? What right do family court advisors have
to even read a position statement? And especially where no court order
says they should read them?

Your reference number is CAF 15-95.

We aim to respond to you promptly, and at the latest 20 working days from

Dear Children and Family Court Advisory Support Service,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Children and Family Court Advisory Support Service's handling of my FOI request 'Parenting Programmes'.

By "Parenting Programmes" I mean actual programmes that are designed for parents to attend that directly focus on parent child relationships. This isn't a SPIP or a DRSPIP. It's the actual programmes that requires a parent to attend for example every week for 5 or 10 weeks typically.

I already have the details of one programme provider Cafcass use. So I would simply like details of all providers please and how long they have been in partnership with Cafcass, as it were eg. Since when have Cafcass been referring service users to these specific programme providers?

As well as the subsequent computer system(s) or list(s) and details I specified originally please?

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/p...

Yours faithfully,

Jimmy

Dear Sir

Thank you for your email which let us know that you were unhappy with the decision made in the FOI response of 12 June 2015 (CAF 15-95) and requested a review of the decision.

This email serves to acknowledge that your request was received on 16 June 2015 and will be dealt with under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

A Senior Officer who was not party to the original decision on whether to release the information will conduct the internal review. The internal reviewer will review the manner in which the application was dealt with and will either uphold or overturn the original decision.

Cafcass will notify you as to the final decision made regarding your internal review 20 working days from receipt of your request. You will therefore receive a response on or before 13 July 2015.

Kind regards,

Governance Team | Cafcass

Dear Sir

Your request for an internal review is being processed. Richard Green (Cafcass SIRO and National Child Care Policy Manager) who was not party to the original decision, is conducting this review.

In order to provide you with the specific information you are requesting, he has asked for some clarification on what you are looking for as ‘parenting programmes’, as you have confirmed that this is not what Cafcass calls ‘Separated Parents Information Programme’.

In line with the Children Act 89 contact activity directions, Cafcass can commission:
• Supervised contact activities (Child Contact Interventions) and/or
• Domestic violence perpetrator programmes

Other pilot programmes which Cafcass are involved in which may be relevant to your request include:
• ‘Supporting separated parents in dispute’
• The ‘Bold Moves’ programmes (Family Man Programme, and the Mums Space Programme)

Please could you let us know if any of these are the type of programme you are looking for information about, and if not please could you give us further information including the one provider which you already know of?

Kind regards,

Governance Team | Cafcass
