Dear Northumberland County Council,

Thank you for your response.

You say that "'Parental alienation' is not a term Northumberland County Council would use". The NSPCC, MoJ, Cafcass, and others class Parental Alienation as a form of Emotional Abuse of children.

As you don't recognise Parental Alienation would you please:

1. Please could you provide copies of your policies and procedures for
reported incidents of emotional abuse.

2. Please confirm whether you provide or recommend any specific emotional abuse CPD learning or development for your children's services employees

3. Please provide copies of your policies and procedures that address onward referrals of cases that involve emotional abuse to children - you asked for clarification to whom you would make onward referrals?
Some examples of possible onward referrals would include Children's Social Services, Police, CAMHS, and/or the child's GP

many thanks

Yours faithfully,

G. Harrison
