Parent Survey Results
Dear Independent Schools Inspectorate,
Could I please request the parent survey data for Highclare School's recent inspection (i.e. percentages of strongly agree/agree/disagree/strongly disagree).
Kindest regards
Dear Mr or Ms Barnes,
Thank you for your enquiry. This information is not publicly available as
parental and pupil surveys are completed on a confidential basis and
evidence bases from inspections cannot be made available to third parties.
I am sorry not to be able to assist in this matter.
With best wishes,
Durell

Dear Durell,
Thank you for your reply. Could you please let me know why this information is available on the ofsted parent view web site for state schools (from the same survey), but it is not available for private schools? I am not requesting confidential responses, only overall percentages, (in the same way they are available for all state schools on parent view). There is total transparency in the state sector, but this does not seem to be the case in the private sector- is there a reason for this?
Thank you again for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
R Barnes
Dear Mr or Ms Barnes,
Thank you for your further email. I am sorry not to have responded before.
As I stated in my first reply, ISI regards survey data as confidential and
therefore does not release it to third parties. There are a number of
differences between the Ofsted and ISI questionnaire systems, including
timing, type and number of questions and the ability to enter comments.
Key findings from questionnaires are always included in inspection reports
alongside the relevant judgement from the inspection team. We believe
that it is important to put questionnaire findings in the context of the
whole inspection. How the views of parents and pupils are reported in
future is currently under consideration and your views will be taken into
account.
Should you wish to raise concerns about an inspection or a school, please
do not hesitate to contact me.
With best wishes,
Durell
