Parent Donations

J Kalem made this Freedom of Information request to West London Free School

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear West London Free School,

When West London Free School opened, staff / governors proposed that parents should if they were financially able to, donate / contribute towards the costs of the school and proposed a monthly payment of £35.00, has the suggested donation increased?

Have the parents of children who will be attending the West London Free School Primary be invited to make a monthly donation towards the school and if so, what is the proposed monthly donation?

Are the donations set up via diret debits with parents or paid though internal school donations?

Yours faithfully

James Kalem

samnaismith,

Dear James,

I am only in a position to give you information regarding the secondary school. The proposal of £35 per month suggestion of contribution has not changed from when the school opened. The money does not contribute to the cost of the school but directly to extra-curricular clubs. Some donations are made via direct debit and some through cheques and cash.
