Paranormal Activity...

The request was partially successful.

Paul Stevenson

Dear Lincolnshire Police,

I would like to know how many Ghost sightings, UFO Sightings, alleged paranormal activity and reports of witches and witchcraft there were in the area please, over the last 10 years. Also if possible, the locations of these activities, the dates and times that they took place and any other information that is not subject to privacy laws and could be available in the public domain.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Stevenson

Savage, Paul,

Good morning Mr Stevenson,

Please see below clarification regarding the data I sent you this morning.

Your request asks for data for the last 10 years. As none of the subjects
listed have separate classifications under NSIR (National Standard For
Incident Recording), the only way to obtain this information is by running
free text searches. A free text search of incidents including the given
words has returned almost one thousand results.

Therefore the data that I have provided may not be entirely accurate for
your purposes.

However, It falls within the criteria of your request (ie whether it
related to `an incident of a supernatural nature') or if the word was used
in a different context (examples, which are not actual examples but
explain what I mean, could be `found a witch fancy dress costume' or ` man
behaving like a zombie, could be drug overdose' or `youngsters dressed in
witch, ghost and wizard costumes trick or treating' or even a misspelling
of the word `which' in an incident log).

I hope this clarifies your figures. Should you require any further
assistance please do not hesitate in contacting me.

Regards

Paul

Dear Savage, Paul,

Thanks Paul, much appreciated.
Can the numbers be broken down into what actually was reported.. ie flashing lights, ghost terrorising a family etc etc.. or is this not possible

Yours sincerely,

Paul Stevenson

Savage, Paul,

Hi Paul,

The problem with breaking all the information down into what actually was reported would entail a manual trawl through every record which would result in us issuing a S12 FOI Act fees notice. i.e £450. It's totally up to you, should you wish us to conduct a manual search, please let me know.

Paul
