Paramedic Driving Offences
Dear Health and Care Professions Council,
Please can you tell me over the period of the last 10 years (if you hold this far back, or 5 years if easier to access) I have been unable to filter the data on your website to show the information I require.
1 - The number of cases brought to you with regards paramedics driving quicker than the speed limit either a) Whilst on duty but not engaged in a call b) Whilst off duty.
*For the above one would assume there was no legal excemption for speeding such as being on a call, however if you have cases where there was a legal excemption i.e c) On a call but used excessive speed. Then please include this if you have it.
2 - The number of these cases that did not go to a case hearing.
3 - The number of cases that went to hearing and what the outcome was.
4 - Where the outcome was removal from register can you share the reasons why this action was taken.
This only applies to registered Paramedics.
Yours faithfully,
CR
