Dear Dr Tai,

Thank you for your request of 23 July 2008 in which you asked for the
following information:

1 The criteria for selecting member organizations for the

Partnership from the public, private, voluntary, and community

sectors; and how each member organization fulfilled the criteria.

2 The cost of each of the meetings of the Oxfordshire Partnership

Board since the Partnership came into being (2006), to date
(2008).

3 The procedures for the initiation, investigation, and

implementation of censure, impeachment, or removal of a member

organization from the Partnership and/or of an individual member

from the Oxfordshire Partnership Board; and whether such
procedures

have ever been used, and on what organization or on whom.

4 The procedure for a new organization from the public, private,

voluntary, or community sector to join the Oxfordshire
Partnership

Board; or for an individual member of the public to join the

Oxfordshire Partnership Board; and whether such procedure has
ever

     been used.

Taking each of your questions in turn:

1 The criteria for selecting member organizations for the

Partnership from the public, private, voluntary, and community

sectors; and how each member organization fulfilled the criteria.

Government guidance outlines named partners who have a duty to cooperate
in Sustainable Community Strategies and Local Area Agreements. The
Partnership has assessed this and invited organisations appropriate to the
priorities of the Partnership to join. Other representatives are proposed
by members of the Board and a decision is taken collectively at a meeting
of the Board whether or not the proposed representative should be invited
to participate. Requests for membership are considered on a case by case
basis.

The voluntary sector nominates two representatives to the Board at its
annual voluntary sector forum.

Please click on the following link to view the most recent statutory
guidance for Local Strategic Partnerships. Please refer in particular to
Section 2.

The membership of the Partnership was reviewed in 2006 as part of the
Governance Review. The original Partnership, Oxfordshire Community
Partnership, was set up in 2002.

Board since the Partnership came into being (2006), to date
