you have requested and as such we are unable to answer your enquiry.

Thank you for your request received on 11 January 2009 in which you
requested the following information:

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I ask how many Premises are

Licensed to sell Puppies, Dogs and Kittens by Oxfordshire County

Council

Oxfordshire County Council is not the licensing authority for the
sale of puppies and kittens. This is the responsibility of the
District Councils of Oxfordshire.

The assertion that Oxfordshire County Council does not hold the
information is misleading. It suggests that the council should hold
some information. However, only the licensing authorities are
expected to hold this information. It is unfair to Oxfordshire
County Council to mark this request as information not held when it
cannot rightly be expected to hold this information.

It is more accurate for this request to be marked as successfully
completed. The council has responded as fully as it can and
provided the requester with contact details of the licensing
departments of Oxfordshire's District Councils.
