Oxford Low Traffic Neighbourhoods

Richard Parnham made this Freedom of Information request to Oxfordshire County Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Oxfordshire County Council,

I understand that Oxford County Council (or perhaps the city council as subcontractors) plans to deploy monitoring equipment, as part of its evidence base for installing Low Traffic Neighbourhoods in Oxford.

Please therefore provide me with details of any:
a) planned installation locations / dates of traffic monitoring equipment inside, or on the border of, the planned LTN zones;
b) planned installation locations / dates of any pollution monitoring equipment inside, or on the border of, the planned LTN zones;
c) any planned evaluation of traffic flows / start - end points / speeds inside / or on the border of, the planned LTN zones - perhaps using TrafficMaster / mobile phone data to monitor journeys in real time.

If no such plans exist for any of these monitoring activities in relation to the planned LTN locations, please confirm this also. if so, please also confirm if an ACTIVE decision was made by council officials NOT to monitor these activities (i.e. there is internal OCC email correspondence confirming this decision was actively made).

Yours faithfully,

Richard Parnham
