Dear H Jackson

Further to your e-mail of 10 July 2019

You can obtain ownership information of  9 Cavendish Gardens, Whitby,
Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, CH65 7ET  by following the below information

You can discover if land in England and Wales is registered and its
allocated title number by using the online [2]Search for Property
Information service.  After clicking the green Start now button you will
be directed to a Find a Property search where, you can use a number of
methods to find a title number:

* Quick search by entering the house number or name and a postcode (you
must have a postcode to use this method)
* Detailed enquiry by entering full address details (use this method if
you don't have a postcode)
* Map enquiry:  this allows you to identify and zoom in on land and
property using map and aerial imagery. You can search by property
address entering a street, town or postcode or browse the map, which
is useful for locating properties where little or no address
information is available. The [3]'Aerial land locator - hints & tips'.
provides guidance.

If the property you have searched for is registered this will give you the
title number.
If you need to purchase property information from this service you must be
a registered user.
You will be asked to register for an account or log in once you are ready
to purchase information for a selected property. Registrations are deleted
after 12 months of non-use.
To download you will need:
 1. A valid debit/credit card
 2. PDF viewing software installed
 3. A valid email address
If a result cannot be found, this does not necessarily mean that the
property is unregistered. If no title is revealed it may be for one of the
following reasons:
- we have been unable to electronically match the property details given
with our records, or
 - the titles have not been linked to the address in the database (e.g.,
because at the time of registration the address was not known or was
different in some way to the address supplied to us by the Post Office).
To be certain whether or not a property is registered you should  apply
for an official search of the index map using [4]form SIM. The result will
show whether or not the land searched is registered, the title numbers
that affect and any pending applications for first registration.
You can attach a plan to show the land that you are interested in but it
must:

* be drawn to scale
* be based on the current large scale Ordnance Survey Map
* indicated scale and north point
* show property extent with suitable colouring and position in relation
to nearby roads and other features
* plans of flats and maisonettes indicate floor level of the property

If the property or land is registered we will supply all the title numbers
relating to the search, which you can then use to apply for Official
Copies. Should the land be unregistered will we inform of this also.
Practice guide 10: [5]Index map: official search gives details of the
information held on the index map and advice on how to apply for an
official search to find out if a property is registered and, if it is, its
title number. It is aimed at conveyancers and members of the public.  HM
Land Registry cannot provide an extract of a plan for this service;
details of how to obtain a suitable plan for this application can be found
in Practice Guide 10.
You can only pay by cheque, made out to HM Land Registry. The
[6]Information Services Fee guide sets out the fees required.
Please send your completed application form(s) to:

Citizen Centre
PO Box 74
Gloucester

Yours sincerely

Kathryn Phillips
