Please provide the following breakdown of services provided (numbers
and hours) to adults with a Learning Disability in your Trust area for
January 2020, March 2020, April 2020, May 2020, June 2020, July 2020
(planned), August 2020 (planned)
1. Non Statutory Day Opportunities (procured by Trust)
NHSCT has contracts in place for 76563 attendances per annum across a
range of independent sector providers for recreational facility based provision
and vocational provision for non-statutory day opportunities for adults with a
learning disability. These volumes per contract are a combination of places
available per day and/or referral capacity per annum so therefore the Trust
cannot provide the information in relation to volume in the format requested
(numbers and hours) in relation to attendances for the period requested. The
Trust can confirm that all facility based attendances ceased as a result of the
COVID-19 pandemic and risk mitigation in March 2020 and each independent
sector provider has COVID reset plans from July which the Trust are
progressing on an individual service user basis reference prioritisation of
need.

Short Breaks are individual to the clients own assessed need and where those can
be met best, so this determines if their need is met by Stat or non-stat service with
each having their own criteria.
Short breaks during the pandemic period were provided by assessed critical need,
hence figures in April as this was a critical need at that particular time for these
individual families.
Due to a suspected case of COVID 19 in the non-stat provider in June no short
breaks were able to be facilitated to adhere to PHA guidance.
