Overturning A Decision To Revoke License- Staffing Structure at DVLA

The request was refused by Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency.

Dear Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency,

Q1 When a decision has been made to revoke a driving license by the 'DVLA Customer Complaint Resolution Team' aka the 'Customer Complaints Team' aka 'Complaints and Resolutions Team', who specifically (names and job titles) within the DVLA has the authority to overturn their decision?

Q2 Please explain the DVLA 'Organisational Chart' above the'DVLA Customer Complaint Resolution Team' aka the 'Customer Complaints Team' aka 'Complaints and Resolutions Team' and their manager. I would prefer specific names and job titles, in an unbroken chain of command all the way to Oliver Morely. Where these may be considered quite 'Junior Roles' in the parlance of your published 'Organigram', it may be that you are not willing to publish the names of these post holders-in which case the specific job title and unbroken chain of command will suffice.

Q3 I would also like to know the specific structure of the 'DVLA Customer Complaint Resolution Team' aka the 'Customer Complaints Team' aka 'Complaints and Resolutions Team' and the name of their manager. I have received communication from 'Mrs Liles', 'Mark Lake', 'Judith Roberts', 'Ian Hughes', 'Louise Evans', 'Mr Bowen', 'Anne Peach' among others and have no understanding as to their structural relationship-which enables them to send me around in circles each claiming the other is 'in charge'. It is my belief that 'Anne Peach' may be the manager of the others listed. please can you confirm this. Who is Anne Peach's manager?

Note: that there is no clear indication of the hierarchy shown on the 'Organigram' found at http://data.gov.uk/organogram/driver-and... nor is there even any mention of the 'DVLA Customer Complaint Resolution Team' aka the 'Customer Complaints Team' aka 'Complaints and Resolutions Team'

Yours faithfully,

Shane Rae

I suspect they will fudge this answer and refuse to comply - probably citing the Data PROTECTION Act, something they break on a daily basis, being as they have one single job to do, and fail dismally at it too.

Good job our road tax pays for them to operate without impunity or responsibility for their role.

As these are publicly funded roles, they must disclose them. They even have to disclose salaries, by law, although I am uninterested in that.

I so look forward to their responses. As Shane says, they are Government funded, paid by the taxpayer (great value for money eh?).

Dear DVLA

Although you have been somewhat helpful, you have also presented me with an 'Org Chart' where every single name and job title has been blacked out with a marker pen. The reason that I requested this data is that I have had to deal with many people from this same department. Each time they would take it in turn to describe on or other as the one in charge. I believe this to have been a cynical attempt to drag things out longer. Without even disclosing the job titles you become complicit in harbouring this deception.

Even your publicly available 'organigram' has job titles on it.

Shane Rae

Dear Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency's handling of my FOI request 'Overturning A Decision To Revoke License- Staffing Structure at DVLA'.

Although you have been somewhat helpful, you have also presented me with an 'Org Chart' where every single name and job title has been blacked out with a marker pen. The reason that I requested this data is that I have had to deal with many people from this same department. Each time they would take it in turn to describe one or other as the person in charge. They would refer my solicitor to the person in charge, who would in turn refer back to the previous person claiming THEY were actually in charge-and round and round it goes. I believe this is a cynical policy which attempts to drag things out longer. I have already listed many of the operatives involved in my public request. This information is required for a pending court action.

Even your publicly available 'organigram' has job titles on it.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/o...

Yours faithfully,

Shane Rae

Keep pushing Shane, this rubbish service cannot be allowed to continue, and hiding behind a smokescreen of 'security' and the laughable 'data protection act' [something they break every single day] is a joke without a punchline.
