Dear James De Cort,

I'm afraid that you are confusing different FoI's. This particular FoI concerns:

Fireworks display that will be held on 5 November, 2014. These have
been produced by Whole Nine Yards Productions Ltd.

Please present these plans in pdf form.

Thank you

Dear Lambeth Borough Council,

Please read through my last message again. I am not requesting an internal review. I am simply pointing out that you have confused two separate FoI requests. This particular request relates specifically to the overlay plans for the Brockwell Park fireworks display.

I look forward to receiving this information.

Thanks

Yours faithfully,

Jason Cobb

Dear Jeanine Palmer2,

Thank you for this response. One again however you have completely messed up two separate FoI's. You have replied to an FoI asking to see the overlay plans prepared by Whole Nine Yard Productions with an earlier FoI request asking to look at costings.

I would like to remind you that the request to see the overlay plans is still active. This has not been resolved.

Yours sincerely,

Jason Cobb

Dear Lambeth Borough Council,

This is getting slightly silly. You have repeated the same mistake twice in one day now.

Please refer to the original question being asked: I would like to see a copy of the overlay plan for the Brockwell Park fireworks, as produced by Whole Nine Yard Productions.

Once again you have sent a reply to this request for a completely different FoI.

Please confirm that my overlay plans request is still waiting to be answered. I am not going to close this FoI via WhatDoTheyKnow as it hasn't been answered yet.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

Jason Cobb

Dear ‎Sir/Madam‏

Thank you for your request for information received on 17 September 2014.
The response to your request is attached ot this email.
Please accept my apologies for any confusion caused by the correspondence
on this case. Your two requests submitted via whatdotheyknow were logged
by our contact centre, both with the same email address. This resulted in
acknowledgement emails and the response being directed to this FOI request
page instead of your request for the costs of the Brockwell Park Fireworks
in 2013.

Thank you for your interest in Lambeth Council.

Dear Lambeth Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Lambeth Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'Overlay Plans for Brockwell Park Fireworks Display'.

This Freedom of Information request is on behalf of residents to
have the information made public.

Please either officially reject this request because the information is confidential or release the information to the public.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/o...

Yours faithfully,

Jason Cobb

As you may be aware, the Information Commissioner has had so many complaints about Lambeth's handling of FoI requests that the council has been issued with an improvement notice. So this saga of incompetence is shared by many of us! I suggest you copy in the Information Commissioner's Office.
Also - the Chief Exec is "moving on" - no doubt heaped with praise like Heather Rabatts was - leaving behind a dysfunctional bureaucracy. Why not copy him in to this and ask him to get it sorted before he goes and asking what he intends to do to produce an effective improvement plan for FoI,.
Finally - "Lambeth Legal" led by Mark Hynes intend to apply to the Solicitors Regulatory Authority for approval of a new business entity (in effect spinning it off and competing with private sector solicitors). You may wish to contact the SRA to say that they can't run the council properly now so they can't be trusted to run a new unit. This is a classic case of "management distraction" - setting up new firms while letting the mainstream work suffer.
