Outstanding Schools

Ross McGill made this Freedom of Information request to Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills,

The National Audit Office reported in May 2018 [https://www.nao.org.uk/report/ofsteds-in... that 296 "schools that had not been inspected for 10 years or more because they were previously graded as outstanding and are therefore exempt from routine re-inspection, at August 2017." If 296 schools in England have not been inspected for at least a decade, parents are not getting an accurate picture of standards.

As of 11.06.19, please could I have a list of all schools and colleges graded 'Oustanding' who have not been inspected for more than 10 years. I would like this data distributed in Excel format in the following format:

1) OFSTED grading
2) Type of school (including free school, grammar, studio etc)
3) Region
4) Date of last visit
5) Name of school

I suspect this list of schools is already known
Yours faithfully,

Ross McGill
