Neil Milligan, Merton Borough Council

Dear Mr Burton

Freedom of Information Act 2000 / Environmental Information Regulations
2004 Information request.

We have now considered your information request as set out below.

You asked: This is to ask for details of all outstanding planning
enforcement cases broken down by ward, including the date they commenced

Our response:  The Council do have a report on our M3 Northgate system
that  supplies the information you have requested by ward.  However,
unfortunately, having run the report it appears it is malfunctioning and
providing very inaccurate information. The system and its templates and
reports  is maintained by an external consultant who only visits the
Council once a month and we have requested this report is fixed so you can
be provided with it. We are also disappointed it is not working properly.
I can inform you that we have  managed to run a very simple report today
which informs us that there are  567 open enforcement cases at this moment
in time. Unfortunately, that particular report does not list the cases. As
soon as the report runs we will supply it.  I apologise for the delay in
supplying this information.

If you have any queries or concerns about this please contact me.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request or wish to
appeal against the decision to exempt any part of your request, you should
request an Internal Review at [Merton Borough Council request email] or write in to Freedom of
Information team, Merton Council, Civic Centre, Morden, SM4 5DX.

If you escalate to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) without
following the council’s internal review process, the ICO will refer you
back to the council to enable the correct process to be followed.

If you remain dissatisfied with the handling of your request or complaint,
you have a right to appeal to the Information Commissioner at:

The Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane,
