Dear Tom

Further to your request as below, I have liaised with our risk and safety
team who have confirmed that we do not record incidents in a way that we
can determine if an ‘outcome 14’ has been recorded.

All reported incidents of violence and aggression are captured within our
risk management information system and given a score rating 1 to 5. 1
being low level seriousness; 5 being very serious.  The incident
investigation would determine involvement of the police, following
discussion with the staff member involved.  We do record when incidents
are referred to the police, but not the specific details of the outcome of
police investigations.  Currently there is no national requirement for
ambulance services to record when police have been involved in internally
reported violence and aggression incidents, however this is under
consideration for future reporting.

I hope the above is of assistance.

Regards

Sarah Morley
