Out of hours/ weekend treatment of sub arachnoid haemorrage

London Strategic Health Authority did not have the information requested.

Dear London Strategic Health Authority,

Please could you advise me as to ;

1. Which London NHS Hospitals undertake coiling of patients with a sub arachnoid haemorrage out of normal hours ( i.e after 5.30 pm) or at the weekend ?

2. If there are such NHS hospitals in London, is there a system to enable patients to be transferred from NHS hospitals that do not undertake weekend/ out of hours coiling of a sub arachnoid haemorrage to hospitals that do such operations out of normal hours ( i.e after 5.30 pm) or at the weekend ?

3. If there is no such system at present , are there plans to create such a system in the future ?

Yours faithfully,

James Bell
