Dear North Yorkshire Police,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of North Yorkshire Police's handling of my FOI request 'Out-of-court settlements arising from policing anti-fracking protests'.
In your reply to me, you said:
"North Yorkshire Police can neither confirm nor deny that it holds any of the
information you have requested. To either confirm or deny that the information is held would disclose
that police had/had not received claims in relation to any anti-fracking protests at Kirby Misperton
between 13 September 2017 – 31 March 2018, which itself is personal information and therefore
exempt under Section 40(5)(b) of the Act."
Please note, I did not ask for any personal details. I argue that it is not personal information to confirm whether or not North Yorkshire Police agreed to any out-of-court settlements arising from policing of anti-fracking protests.
I should be grateful if you would reconsider my request.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ou...

Yours faithfully,

Ruth Hayhurst
