Dear FOI team,
Please provide the following information in email format:
1. Number of residents currently awaiting an OT assessment
2. How many OT assessments have been requested from the LA in the past 12 months.
3. Average waiting time for an OT assessment
4. If your organisation uses independent OT services
5. If so average cost paid per assessment.
6. Name, email and contact number of person responsible in your organisation who is or would be responsible for the decision to commission independent OT assessments.
Yours faithfully,
Nikki Thompson
Dear Nikki
With reference to your enquiry regarding OT assessment waiting list
numbers under the Freedom of Information Act, the Association is not
currently covered by this Act although the provision of the Act will
extend to RLS from 11^th November 2019.
However, for you information, the Association does not make or receive
requests for OT assessments nor do we use an independent OT service. Staff
will however advise tenants to seek an assessment where they feel the
tenant would benefit from a medical adaptation within their flat and,
where appropriate assist a tenant to submit a request.
The Association does accept referrals from OTs for medical adaptations but
has no information on the numbers waiting on assessments, how many have
been made to the LA or the length of time an individual has had to wait
for their assessment to be carried out.
I trust this information has been of some assistance.
Regards
Elaine Lister
