Dear Kaiden
Thank you for your e-mail received on 25th April 2018 requesting information regarding the Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust (HEFT). Please be aware that as of 1st April 2018 Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust has merged and is now part of University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UHB). The enlarged Trust will use the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust name (UHB). All individual hospital and clinic names will remain the same, including the Birmingham Chest Clinic. For the purposes of this request we will answer on behalf of what was HEFT whilst services and teams come together over the coming months.
Our Trust provides acute services and we are not commissioned to provide Mental Health services. We work in partnership with other organisations who provide specialist services where needed, for example we have a RAID (Rapid Assessment, Interface and Discharge) service. This service consists of mental health nurses, consultant psychiatrists, trainee doctors of various grades, physician associates, a clinical psychologist, a research assistant and administrators. The service is provided by Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust who provide mental health services across the region and can be contacted at [email address].
If you are unhappy with the service you have received in relation to your request and wish to request a review of our decision, you should write to the Head of Information Governance, Safety and Governance Directorate, Devon House, Heartlands Hospital, Bordesley Green East, B9 5SS.
If you are not content with the outcome of your review, you may apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. Generally, the ICO cannot make a decision unless you have exhausted the complaints procedure provided by our trust. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information Commissioner's Office Wycliffe House Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF Telephone: 08456 30 60 60 or 01625 54 57 45 or www.ico.org.uk
.
Kind regards,
Trust FOI Officer
