Organisational structure and contact details

The request was partially successful.

Dear Stoke on Trent City Council,

Please may I have the managerial organisational structure for your
council? Also a breakdown of the individual teams within the
council also including the names and contact details including
telephone numbers of all of the team members for each area.

Please could you clarify the organisation structure of the
marketing/communications department with contact details and names
of staff ?

Yours faithfully,

Natalie Jones

Dear Natalie

Your request for information ref. SOT36439 about organisation structures

Please accept our sincere apologies for the delay in sending this response
to you.

We have now considered your request and a copy of the information we are
able to provide is attached.

The information supplied may be used for domestic or journalistic
purposes.  Its use for commercial gain including issuing to the public,
social media or computer blogs may be subject to the issue of a licence
under the Reuse of Public Sector Information Regulations 2005.

Request:

Please may I have the managerial organisational structure for your
council? Also a breakdown of the individual teams within the council also
including the names and contact details including telephone numbers of all
of the team members for each area.

Response:

Please see attached documents, including a redacted copy of our internal
telephone book.  The names of the post-holders and their locations have
been withheld under section 38 of the Act and will not be provided.

Section 38(1)(b) (health and safety) allows a public authority to withhold
information if its release into the public domain could be considered
likely to endanger the safety of any individual.

This exemption has been applied to the names and locations of the
post-holders because this level of information could enable any person to
identify and locate them which, when considering the sensitivity and
complexity of some of the issues and cases that officers may deal with on
a day to day basis, is not an appropriate level of protection that the
local authority is obliged to provide to its officers.

It is considered that the public interest in withholding the information
is stronger than that in releasing it, mainly because of the potential
vulnerability of officers, but also because the public can already easily
contact officers that they wish to speak to, by telephoning our
switchboard and asking for them.

Request:

Please could you clarify the organisation structure of the
marketing/communications department with contact details and names of
staff?

Response:

Please see attached documents.  You will also find these posts in the copy
of our internal phonebook.

Overall comment:-
Where possible we have given names of tier 2 and 3 managers but have
removed the names of more junior officers.  This is because these officers
would not expect their names to be available in the public domain.

If you have any queries about this email, please do not hesitate to
