Thank you for your recent request for information under the Freedom of
Information (FOI) Act 2000.

We are now in a position to respond to your request.

Your request:

Please can you reply with an organisational chart including the names, job
titles and contact details (email or direct line) of all the divisional
clinical managers/directors, deputies and general managers within the
organisation.

Our response:

The Trust does not hold “an organisational chart including the names, job
titles and contact details (email or direct line) of all the divisional
clinical managers/directors, deputies and general managers within the
organisation”.   Since this information is not held by the Trust, it is
not available under the Act.

Organisation charts and the names of senior BSUH NHS Trust staff
considered to be in the public domain are available from the Trust’s web
site: [1]http://www.bsuh.nhs.uk/about-us/whos-who... Since this
information is accessible by other means, section 21 exemption under the
Freedom of Information Act applies to your request.  Moreover, as
structure charts are reviewed and updated these will be made available on
our website.  Since this information is 'intended for future publication',
section 22 exemption also applies.

As with most other NHS organisations, we are not of the view that it is in
the Trust’s interests to release the names and contact details of our
staff into the public domain through the FOIA.  This is to safeguard our
staff from the misuse of this information by commercial organisation that
may source these details from the public domain.  Generally speaking,
staff contact details are exempt under section 40(2) of the Freedom of
Information Act in respect of the rights of these staff under the Data
Protection Act.  Should you require specific email addresses for any of
our Directors or senior managers, please let us know and we will be happy
to provide them.  Our staff are very busy providing the best care possible
to our patients and do not have the spare capacity to receive calls from
external organisations and/or individuals unless appropriate.  If you can
clarify the reason behind your request, then it may be possible for us to
refer you to the appropriate member/s of staff that can help with the
information you are seeking.  The Trust provides an important and very
busy service to the local community and we would appreciate your
understanding on this matter.

Thank you for your email regarding your Freedom of Information request
(our ref: FOI002842).

 

The link provided in our response to your Freedom of Information request
should have facilitated access to the Trust’s new Clinical Structure
chart.  We have checked this link and it does indeed work properly.  We
have however, attached this chart for your convenience.

 

The Trust can confirm that it does not hold “an organisational chart
including the names, job titles and contact details (email or direct line)
of all the divisional clinical managers/directors, deputies and general
managers within the organisation”, in line with your request.  Under the
Act, information not held does not need to be provided, nor does it need
to be created to satisfy a Freedom of Information request.

 

There have been considerable structural changes in the Trust in recent
months and thus several of the organisational charts routinely published
on our website are now being updated.  This new information will be
published in due course.  Section 22 exemption applies for the time being,
as this information is intended for future publication.

It is important to note that it is not appropriate under the Act to
