Opportunity Area Planning Framework

Angus Scott made this Freedom of Information request to Kingston upon Thames Borough Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Kingston upon Thames Borough Council,

I am aware that Kingston Council has been working since 2015 with the GLA to produce an Opportunity Area Planning Framework for Kingston Town. My evidence is found on the GLA website dated 26/8/15: https://www.london.gov.uk/decisions/add3... in which the GLA states that "the GLA planning unit has dedicated a planning officer to support Kingston in leading the production of this OAPF".

The stated objective of funding agreed at this time was the production of the "Kingston Town Centre OAPF consultation draft document in conjunction with RBK " Please can you send me any documents that were produced as a result of the decisions made under ADD340 as referenced above, as well as any information that gives evidence of approvals made to change the nature of the consultation draft document in any way.

Please can you also provide evidence that supports Ms Butterfield's denial dated 2/03/16 to my previous FOI Act request (CAS- 842320) that "the Council does not have an Opportunity Area Planning Framework" when the evidence above clearly appears to invalidate such a denial and indicates that such an OAPF must have existed in some shape or foem by the date of my FOI Act request.

Yours faithfully,

Angus Scott

Subject: Freedom of Information request - Opportunity Area Planning
Framework Auto forwarded by a Rule

Dear Kingston upon Thames Borough Council,

I am aware that Kingston Council has been working since 2015 with the GLA
to produce an Opportunity Area Planning Framework for Kingston Town. My
evidence is found on the GLA website dated 26/8/15:
[3]https://www.london.gov.uk/decisions/add3...
in which the GLA states that "the GLA planning unit has dedicated a
planning officer to support Kingston in leading the production of this
OAPF".

The stated objective of funding agreed at this time was the production of
the "Kingston Town Centre OAPF consultation draft document in conjunction
with RBK " Please can you send me any documents that were produced as a
result of the decisions made under ADD340 as referenced above, as well as
any information that gives evidence of approvals made to change the nature
of the consultation draft document in any way.

Please can you also provide evidence that supports Ms Butterfield's denial
dated 2/03/16 to my previous FOI Act request (CAS- 842320) that "the
Council does not have an Opportunity Area Planning Framework" when the
evidence above clearly appears to invalidate such a denial and indicates
that such an OAPF must have existed in some shape or foem by the date of
my FOI Act request.

Yours faithfully,

Angus Scott
