Operational cost breakdown of Ordinary Route 9 & 15

The request was partially successful.

Dear Transport for London,

Further to my recent FOI request TfL Ref: 2269-1314, I would additionally like to be sent an operational cost breakdown of ordinary services which are run on bus routes 9 and 15, to aid comparison.

Furthermore, could you also please include fare revenues for both the Heritage and ordinary services on the Number 9 & 15 bus routes.

Yours faithfully,

Mr Brown

Dear Mr Brown

TfL Ref: 2354-1314

Thank you for your email received by us on 21 February 2014 asking for
information about the operational costs on standard (non-Heritage) bus
routes 9 and 15 and fare revenues for both types of vehicles in service.

Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of
the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy.  I can
confirm we hold some information you require. I apologise for the delay in
replying.

We record information on the total patronage of bus routes which is listed
in the table below and covers the financial years of 2012 to 2013 for both
Heritage and standard vehicles on routes 9 and 15. As most ticketing
revenue is off-bus, there are no actual revenue figures for specific
routes, and estimating would be required.

Route Usage
9 4 989 282
9H 435 672
15 5 448 245
15H 472 677

As previously mentioned in our response of 12 March 2014, (ref: 2269-1314)
we do not hold information on the actual maintenance costs of these
vehicles because this is undertaken by our directly contracted bus
operators, Tower Transit, who operate route 9 and Stagecoach who operate
route 15.  If you would like to contact Tower Transit or Stagecoach,
please refer to their websites below:

[2]http://www.stagecoachbus.com/

Please note that as private companies, Tower Transit or Stagecoach are not
subject to the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and
therefore are not obliged to provide the information you require.

If this is not the information you are looking for, or if you are unable
to access it for some reason, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Please see the attached information sheet for details of your right to
appeal as well as information on copyright and what to do if you would
like to re-use any of the information we have disclosed.

Yours sincerely
