Operation TRIASSIC

sarah laws made this Freedom of Information request to General Medical Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

We're waiting for sarah laws to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear General Medical Council,

I have been researching collapsed trials. In the papers relating to operation Triassic , there is mention of joint investigation with the GMC and reference to doctors being the subject of this investigation and prosecution.

What has been your involvement in operation Triassic.

What has been the outcome of your involvement in operation
triassic.

The involvement of a private partisan body, the Insurance Fraud bureau, in the prosecution of this case could be deemed to have been prejudicial to the case. The Judge at Southwark Crown Court allegedly described the prosecution as 'scandalous'. The case was thrown out.

Will you continue to have involvement in joint case investigations with the IFB?

What risk assessments have you performed of such involvement?

Will you share these risk assessments with the public?

Have you been subject to any litigation consequent to your
involvement in activities with the Insurance Fraud Bureau?

Have you reprimanded, struck off or suspended any doctors in consequence of information obtained from investigations in relation to the Insurance Fraud Bureau and regional Police Forces?

The IFB website refers to a strategy to disrupt 'professional facilitators' ? What is your involvement in, and understanding of, this strategy?

The IFB website refers to current live operations such as operation 'CATCHER' and operation 'THATCHAM'; are you involved in the investigation or facilitation of these current investigations? Have you received any communication on these investigations from the IFB or the regional police forces?

Have you disciplined or investigated any doctors or nurses in relation to the operations 'catcher' and 'thatcham'? What has been the outcome of these proceedings?

Yours faithfully,

sarah laws

Dear General Medical Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of General Medical Council's handling of my FOI request 'Operation TRIASSIC'.

The information asked for is in the strongest public interest.
It has been published in news, legal and insurance journals and magazines the name of a GP Doctor and the name of a solicitor at Mckeowns Solicitors in relation to operation triassic and their arrest.
The press release from the IFB stated they were working jointly with others including the GMC.

Please provide the information asked for.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address:
