Dear South Wales Police,

I appreciate that Purple Ash is not a 'numerical exercise' and that you may not have a 'formal measurement tool in place'. Nevertheless, I assume that there must be some ongoing or planned evaluation of the success of the operation and how it might have been improved (in line with your objectives concerning effectiveness, efficiency and understanding "what works").

If there truly is no attempt to understand whether Purple Ash is meeting, or will have met, its aims and objectives, then please can you clarify this. Otherwise I would be grateful if you could provide details of this evaluation, treating this as a clarification of the original request.

Yours faithfully,
Myfanwy Williams
