ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION REGULATIONS 2004
Thank you for your recent request which is set out as follows. I apologise
for the delay in responding.
How much R D F was combusted in the gasifier at the "Eco Park" at
Shepperton each month between January and July 2020?
How much gas oil was burnt to support the operation of the gasifier during
each of those months?
How much electricity was generated by the gasifier during each of those
months and how much was exported each month?
We consider that your request for information falls to be considered as a
request for information under the Environmental Information Regulations
2004 (“EIR”)
We confirm that Surrey County Council does hold some of the information
requested and this is set out below.
RDF Combusted
Gasifier Tonnes in (Weighbridge weights into the Pre Treatment System)
The gasifier will typically process around 80% of the input waste stream
and therefore from January 2020 to date around 12,551T would have been
processed through the gasification plant
Gasoil
The provision of oil for running the Gasifier is currently wholly the
responsibility of M+W and therefore we do not currently hold this
information.
Electricity Generation
We do not hold information on electricity generated only the amount
exported, which is as follows.
Meter No. …6261 is the Gasifier Turbine (Export).
Meter No. …6280 is the AD CHPs (Export)
