Good afternoon

I am seeking information in relation to a recent trading standards operation.

First of all, is your trading standards function undertaken by ‘London Trading Standards’?

Did your authorities trading standards take part in Operation Grip (a joint tyre safety operation in partnership with London Trading Standards and Tyre Safe, see link below)
http://www.londontradingstandards.org.uk...

If you did take part in Operation Grip, please could I have the answers to the following questions :
- How many tyres were checked?
- How many tyres were found to be defective or deemed unsafe?
- What are considered to be ‘Tyre Marking’ defects?
- Were the tyre fitting centres / businesses visited during this operation targeted based on intelligence or were they randomly spot checked?

Yours sincerely

Nicholas Smith
