Open Source Software

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Cabinet Office should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Cabinet Office,

Please let me know if you hold any studies, business cases or other documentation around adopting open source software in your organisation. If you hold any such records, might I have a copy?

Also please let me know of any open source software in use in your organisation and any associated implementation costs (broken down, if possible, by category such as external consultancy, internal time etc).

Finally, do you have a policy on the use of open source software? If so, please provide a copy.

Yours faithfully,

William Olde
