Onsite Immigration Enforcement officials / embedded Home Office workers

The request was successful.

Dear Home Office,

I understand that Onsite Immigration Enforcement Officials (OSIOs) are located within a number of social service departments within Local Authorities, in their No Recourse to Public Funds Teams. In your response to a Freedom of Information Request on 23rd November 2017 you said that an OSIO’s job is includes to ‘facilitate the broader relationship between Customer and other Authority teams’, and that OSIOs can sometimes be placed within large private sector companies.

1. Please provide a list of other teams within Local Authorities which OSIOs assist, and other departments within Local Authorities OSIOs are placed, including the names of the Local Authorities.

2. Please provide a list of which NHS Trusts healthcare facilities (including but not limited to hospitals, GPs, physiotherapists, social workers, specialist health centres, hospices) have OSIOs and the names of the teams in which they are located.

3. Please provide a list of all other teams and departments of public services in which OSIOs are placed.

4. Please provide a list of private sector companies in which OSIOs are placed.

For points 1, 2, 3 and 4 please provide all documentation (including but not restricted to contacts, protocols, procedures, policies, Memorandum of Understanding or guidance) concerning these placements.

5. Please provide an estimate of the number of OSIOs currently employed by the Home Office Department.

6. Please provide the most recent OSIO job description if it is updated since November 2017.

If my request is denied due to excessive costs, please kindly provide as much information as possible given the time constraints.
If any part of my request is otherwise denied, please kindly provide the public interest assessment made.

Yours faithfully,
I. Burnett

Dear Home Office,

Excuse my typo, please understand "contact" to mean "contract".
