Dear Halton Borough Council,

As a pensioner and council taxpayer in Halton Merseyside. I sent a FOI to your good selves hoping to get a quick and factual retort on the scanning equipment available for people in Halton.

Having read; Transforming imaging services in England: a national strategy for imaging networks. Merseyside and Cheshire STP as developed a ‘hub-based’ on-call system for its network of acute imaging services. Where four registrars now provide ‘on-call’ cover across all sites during the ‘day shift’. Ensures their training is not compromised by these duties and increases the trusts’ compliance with the European Working Time Directive. With the success of this collaborative project, the STP was encouraged to create a network strategy going forward and is now one of NHS Improvement’s early adopters.

My obvious question was where are these acute imaging service sites and what machines are there.
I would still like an answer.

Yours faithfully,

James A Owen
