Ombudsman Policies, Procedures and Guidelines for Complaints with NIPSO

REGINALD CLARK made this Freedom of Information request to Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman

Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman,

Under the Freedom of Information Act, I would like to request guidelines policies and procedures related to investigating the any requests to the Ombudsman’s Office related to investigating a Government Department. I would like to know if there are concerns in an investigation, does the Ombudsman's Office contact only the government department? Or do they follow up for clarification with the person making the complaint to ensure that there is a fair assessment before a decision is made.

The Northern Ireland Public Services Ombudsman investigates complaints about possible maladministration in the delivery of public services. The Ombudsman’s role is to ensure that the people of Northern Ireland are served by a fair and efficient public administration that is committed to accountability, openness, and quality service.

Your actions seem to just RUBBER STAMP anything that the government organization says that you are supposed to be investigating.

Yours faithfully,
Reginald Clark

Dear NIPSO Legal Services,

I am currently speaking to Robert Bannon about a complaint that relates to requesting the policies, procedures and guidelines, and I am awaiting his reply.

I feel that the Ombudsman's Office are supported by people with excellent legal and investigating knowledge and to not support a member of the general public that is asking for another government agency to provide evidence in an official report showing that they are not carrying out their duties.

i feel you need to look at the BBC EDITORIAL GUIDELINES that reflect what is required to ensure evidence to correct .

Yours sincerely,

REGINALD CLARK
