Ombudsman Decisions not worth paper they're written on

We're waiting for Nev Ermin to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Local Government Ombudsmen,

Evidence is held beyond all doubt that North East Lincolnshire council presented false evidence to the Magistrates' court to obtain a Council Tax Liability Order.

See Ombudsman's draft decision (for comments) and the complainant's comments:

https://www.scribd.com/document/35199762...

https://www.scribd.com/document/35246357...

The Ombudsman's Final Decision outcome is below:

https://www.scribd.com/document/35265138...

The Ombudsman found in the council's favour as he could find no fault, even though the evidence of perjury was provided. The decision is therefore worthless.

Officers responsible for the injustice at North East Lincolnshire Council will not have the intellect to be able to distinguish between a sham/biased investigation and one carried out objectively. The Ombudsman's findings will therefore cause them to believe that they were acting lawfully.

What, if any, plans does the Ombudsman have for improving the quality of its investigations so that council officers who do not know right from wrong are not lulled into a false sense of security.

Yours faithfully,

Nev Ermin

Dear Foi Officer,

In your response you stated that you have no written information on improving the quality of your investigations and the information requested was not held.

In the passing of time and new relevant information being available to the LGO has that position changed?

Yours sincerely,

Nev Ermin
