Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, South Eastern Power Networks plc should have responded by now (details). The person who made the request can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear South Eastern Power Networks plc,

Old Roar Gill is a local nature reserve in Hastings. In February 2024 there was a significant landslip in Old Roar Gill to the rear of houses in Foxcote and Penhurst Close . The banks of the gill , the footpath and residents gardens have been lost . Residents of 2 houses are no longer allowed to occupy their houses.

The footpath closure order for footpath 153 that runs behind the houses can be seen here https://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/media/ql2d...

Residents state that works took place on or near the public footpath number 153 that runs behind these properties in 2019. The works involved excavations of a trench with a digger and the laying of/replacing of power cables.

These works may have had an impact on slope stability and may be a contributory cause of the landslip that has closed the footpath and impacted on the local nature reserve with harms to the bio-diversity of the gill. As such this information request comes under the remit of EIR regulations.

Please provide under EIR for the location at the rear of Foxcote and Penshurst Close on or near footpath 153 the following information:

1. Details of site visits made to this location in 2018 , 2019 and 2020. To include date of visit, purpose of visit
2. Details of works carried out in this location in 2018 , 2019 and 2020. To include date of works, purpose of works
3. Copies of all documents held in any format concerning site visits, works carried out , works proposed in this location 2018,2019 and 2020
