Old Roar Gill - Report mentioned at Full Council EGM 25/09/2024

Chris Hurrell made this Freedom of Information request to Hastings Borough Council Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

This request has been withdrawn by the person who made it. There may be an explanation in the correspondence below.

Dear Hastings Borough Council,

The EGM was due to discuss options on further investigations into the Old Roar Gill landslip.

The EGM was adjourned at the last minute due to it being reported that a new report was available but had not been made available to councillors. It was considered this report had a bearing on the options to be discussed at the EGM.

Residents state that they were informed that there had been a leaders' briefing on Tuesday evening regarding a report on Alexander Park and the Old Roar Gill. They state that the meeting was adjourned, with the promise that the report will be made public. They state that they were told that the report might lead to changes in the options to be discussed at the rescheduled meeting. They state that despite asking the landslide project manager and the Councillor who has the landslides in his portfolio they were told that no-one knows who is writing the report; who has commissioned the report and what is the purpose of the report.

Please provide under EIR the following:

1. A copy of the report that led to the adjournment
2. Details of who wrote the report
3. Details of who commisioned the report
4. What is the purpose of the report

Yours faithfully,

Chris Hurrell
