I hope the following will answer your query:

The Council currently has a pilot O365 environment with limited use. In
addition to the facilities provided by Microsoft, the data held in this
environment is backed-up using a service called 'Leap'. This arrangement
is only intended to cover the pilot period, and data will be deleted at
the end of this (due to be Oct 2015).

Going forward, one of the benefits of O365 is the enhanced records
management features, including the ability to automate content disposal.
The Council is currently revising its Retention Schedule, and will be
looking to apply this across all its information on all platforms and
formats.

We aim to provide a high quality service to you and hope that you are
satisfied with this response. If you have any further questions please do
not hesitate to contact us.

Yours sincerely,

The Information Management Team
