Dear Department of Health and Social Care,

FOI Request.

On 16th October 2018, Matt Hancock said: "Any individual who has contracted hepatitis C or HIV due to infected blood will have been offered the most effective treatments available at the time of their diagnosis"
https://www.parliament.uk/business/publi...

This is a Freedom of Information request in which I am requesting the following information:

a) Has the department made an assessment of every individual who contracted hepatitis C or HIV due to infected blood / blood-products to verify they were offered the most effective treatments available at the time of their diagnosis?
a2) If so, when that assessment took place?

b) If the answer to (a) is "No", please provide a table list of sources relied upon by DHSC to produce the statement that "Any individual who has contracted hepatitis C or HIV due to infected blood will have been offered the most effective treatments available at the time of their diagnosis".

Yours faithfully,

JJ Evans
