OFCOM Protocols in place regarding publication of OFCOM investigation decisions.
Dear Office of Communications,
Are there any rules in place where OFCOM must make a decision within a set time after accepting a case for investigation?
Are there any rules in place as to
How long after sending the parties a 'draft determination' on an accepted investigation OFCOM is required to inform the parties on the final outcome?
After final determination by OFCOM how long is considered reasonable for the publication of the decision?
Does OFCOM have the right to delay without cause after a decision on any accepted investigation?
Does OFCOM have an obligation to share statements from both parties to each other internally during an investigation?
How many cases have been accepted by OFCOM for investigation from members of the public against Channel 4 in the past 5 years?
How many of those cases investigated resulted in favour of Channel 4 not being wrong?
On average how long did it take for the OFCOM decision/outcomes of those cases to be published?
How many complaints about untenable delays to decisions and publication of such decisions has OFCOM received from members of the public - who have participated in investigations filed by them?
Yours faithfully,
Laurence de Mello
