Dear Mr Beaton,

Request under the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002/
Environmental Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004

I refer to your request of the 29^th April 2015 related to the
above requesting the following information be provided:

Dear Glasgow City Council, Under the Technical Standards (Scotland)
Regulations can you provide for Scotstoun Stadium: 1. An elemental
breakdown of the total designed occupant capacity. 2. Under temporary
warrants granted provide occupant numbers related to increase of spectator
capacity along with expiry dates and/or any request to extend the warrant
validity period. 3. Advise of any application being progressed to
construct new stadia.

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act imposes a duty on Glasgow City
Council to respond to requests for information even where the information
requested is environmental.  Accordingly we are required to refuse your
request for information under the Freedom of Information Act in terms of
Section 39(2) and will properly deal with it under the Environmental
Information (Scotland) Regulations 2004.

In terms of the Environmental Information Regulations I can confirm that
the Council holds the information that you are requesting.

The information you have requested is as follows:

 1. The capacity of the of the North Stand is 1,252 The capacity of the
South Stand is 3,513
 2. There have been no temporary building warrants that have increased the
spectator capacity of the stadium. To date when temporary seating has
been erected at the stadium it has been exempt from the need for a
building warrant due to the length of time it is erected or used for.
I can however advise that in these circumstances the temporary seating
is given consent under Section 89 of the Civic Government (Scotland)
Act 1982. To date the largest capacities which have been approved via
the consents given under this legislation is an additional 2611
persons in a west stand plus 2466 in an east stand.
 3. There are currently no applications being progressed to construct new
stadia
