NW Legal Consortium; Historical Rates

Thomas Jones made this Freedom of Information request to Sefton Borough Council This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

We're waiting for Thomas Jones to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Sefton Borough Council,

Between 1st April 2010 and the 31st March 2014 Sefton Borough Council was party to a contract referred to as the North West Legal Consortium Collaboration Agreement. This related to how the council bought external legal services.

I am interested in the historical rates for the work done under this contract by a firm called Weightmans. Note that I only want the historical rates for this work, so just send me the figures that applied up to and including the financial year ending April 2014.

Please send me this information electronically.

Thank you very much,

Thomas Jones

Dear Sefton Borough Council,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Sefton Borough Council's handling of my FOI request 'NW Legal Consortium; Historical Rates'.

I see that the request has been refused because of section 43, which relates to commercial interests.

In fact, the reason that I was very specific about only asking for historical information was because this prevents section 43 from applying. What a firm's rates historical rates were cannot be considered commercially sensitive, at least not to the extent required by the public interest test.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/n...

Yours faithfully,

Thomas Jones

John Clintworth, Sefton Borough Council
