Dear Eastleigh Borough Council,

I note that Hampshire Home Choice (HHC) has published the “average waiting times for applicants housed between 1st April 2016 and 31st March 2017”. It also has links to show your authority’s average waiting times for people who are on your waiting lists. Tables showing the breakdown are provided for the average times in different groups, but no breakdown is provided to show how many people are on the lists that I can see.

Could you please provide me with the numbers of people that you have on you housing waiting list as of 31st March 2017 and show how long people have been waiting by the following periods of time:

1. Less than 1 year
2. Between 1 and 2 years
3. Between 2 and 3 years
4. Between 3 and 5 years
5. Between 5 and 10 years
6. Between 10 and 15 years
7. For more than 15 years

In line with the figures on the HHC site could you please break these down into the same tabled groups? Namely Band 2, Band 3, Band 4 and 1 bed, 2 bed, 3 bed, 4+ bed and those aged 55 and over.

Yours faithfully,
Lisa Smith

Dear Lisa Smith,

Re: Request for Information

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request which we received on
23^rd November 2017.

I can confirm that Eastleigh Borough Council does hold the information
requested.

Please see attachments.

Please note, The Hampshire Home Choice is a live database and the stats
reports we run in order to populate the posters have to be run 'live' on
the day.  Unfortunately we are therefore unable to retrospectively run a
report for 31/03/2017 breaking down the number on the register poster
further into how long those in different bands/bedroom requirements had
waited for.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further enquiries
regarding your request.

If you wish to make a request for internal review with regards to your
information request please contact:

Dear Shikdar, Nelupa,

Thank you very much for our response, but you have not answered my question.

You have provided me with a duplicate of the information held on The Hampshire Home Choice site. This information shows the average times and the overall totals.

I have asked for a breakdown so that I may see how long people have been on the waiting list in the 2 age bands which you currently use to split the groups. This was to be broken down into seven different periods.

Yours sincerely,

Lisa Smith

Dear Shikdar, Nelupa,

You have not answered my question. The information provided is freely available on the Hampshire Homechoice site and does not answer the question posed in my Freedom of Information Request.

Lisa Smith

Dear Lisa Smith,

In regards to your request dated 23^rd November 2017, Eastleigh Borough
Council are unable to provide backdated information breaking down the
number of households on the housing register in this way as at 31st March
2017 due to the statistical reports being run 'live' on the system.  The
Hampshire Home Choice system is a 'live' database and reports run show
snapshot information about the housing register on the date that reports
are run.  To provide the information being requested we would have needed
to run more in depth statistical reports from the database on 31st March
2017 which we can now not retrospectively run.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further enquiries
regarding your request.

Yours sincerely,

Nelupa Shikdar
