Corporate Information Manager, Tendring District Council

Dear Mr Everett,

Further to your FOI request received on 18/12/18, the [1]Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA) does not apply to individuals appointed under
the Representation of the People Act. This is because Electoral
Registration Officers, Constituency Returning Officers and Counting
Officers (and any other person appointed under this act) are not a public
authority for the purpose of FOIA.  Therefore, any requests for electoral
registration information cannot be treated as freedom of information
requests.

However, to promote transparency and in particular, as a result of the new
boundary changes within the district,  the Electoral Registration Officer
has made a decision to make details of the new wards, boundaries and
streets available on the Council’s website.

Please see the below link, where the answers to your enquiry can be found.

correctly you can request that the matter is reviewed in accordance with
the Authority's Complaints Procedure. Requests for internal reviews should
be sent to Mrs L Trembath, Corporate Services, Town Hall, Station Road,
Clacton-on-Sea, Essex CO15 1SE.  Further details of this procedure can be
obtained from all Council offices or from our website
([3]www.tendringdc.gov.uk).

If you are not content with the outcome of the internal review you have
the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a
decision.  The Information Commissioner can be contacted at:
