Number of women by ethnic origin awarded SP per 2014 Pension Act from 2016 to 2019.

Department for Work and Pensions did not have the information requested.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please provide annual figures from April 2016 of the number of women, by ethnicity, awarded a State Pension, which is based on a history of paying a “married women’s” national insurance stamp...( as provided for in the 2014 Pension Act). These women would not be eligible to receive
the “new” SP as any full rate NI contributions amount to less than 10 years
Additionally please indicate the annual number of these women who have had a different eligibility date for SP (due to their husband’s eligibility date for SP ) compared to women with
10 or more years full rate NI contributions.

How many women by ethnic origin annually from 2016 receive the full new state pension where they have over 10 -16 years of NI credits for Home Responsibilities?

Yours faithfully
Joyce Tagell
